Phosphor Pentasulfid (P2S5) ist eine chemische Verbindung, die aus zwei Phosphoratomen besteht, die an fünf Schwefelatome gebunden sind. Es ist ein gelber Feststoff mit stechendem Geruch. Phosphor Pentasulfid wird häufig in der organischen Synthese als Reagenz zur Umwandlung von Alkoholen in Thiole oder Thioether verwendet. Es wird auch bei der Herstellung von Schmiermitteln, Farbstoffen und Pestiziden verwendet.
